Psychiatry
Your psychiatrist is a specialist medical doctor who can help with mental health concerns or emotional difficulties.
Your psychiatrist may recommend psychotherapy (talking therapy), and/or medication for your specific needs, and other lifestyle changes and therapies.
Psychology
Focused Psychological Strategies sessions can help you to understand and manage your emotions and behaviour.
Psychologists use methods such as psychotherapy (talking therapy), CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapies), Acceptance and Commitment Therapies (ACT) and other methods.
Exercise
Starting an exercise plan including stretching, walking, and spending more time in nature can do wonders for your mood and your mental health.
Plus, getting some exercise in Canberra’s bright morning sun can even help you sleep better at night.
Diet
Research shows that when you nourish your body, you can give your mental health a boost. In fact, lifestyle changes like eating more nutritious food can make a big difference to how you feel.
Making simple and tasty meals, including lots of seasonal fruit, vegetables and protein is a delicious way to feel better!
