Dr Matthew Brazel
Dr Matthew Brazel is a consultant psychiatrist who sees patients at Waymind in Deakin, Canberra.
Dr Brazel is currently accepting new patient referrals, as below.
He sees adult patients over the age of 30, who have symptoms of:
- ADHD
- Depression
- Bipolar disorder
- Anxiety
- Other mental health problems
Dr Brazel has a special interest in seeing patients who are aged over 65 years, who are experiencing symptoms of:
- ADHD
- Dementia or behavioural and psychological symptoms of dementia
- Depression
- Any other mental health problems
Dr Brazel generally does not see patients who have eating disorders as a primary problem, or those with uncontrolled substance use issues.
He has been working in Canberra since 2021 in the public health system. He currently works for older persons mental health at Canberra Health Services.
Qualifications
Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP)
Certificate of Advanced Training in Psychiatry of Old Age
Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS)
Bachelor of Science (BSc, hons)
